Research interests
My research interests fall within the discipline of sociolinguistics. My main (or most current) research interests involve language contact between German, Dutch, and English, and I am working on a research project examining the use of English in German and Dutch memes and memes as speech acts in online communication. I am also interested in gerontolects such as Jugendsprache. My research interests also include code-switching and multilingualism.
