Pretty Things with Wings

I have been a birder (that's what birdwatchers call themselves) ever since childhood. I learned how to find and identify birds in my father's footsteps, literally, along the shores and in the woods of rural Nova Scotia. That's where my family moved when I was eight years old, and where I lived until I returned to the US for graduate school. Over the years, my naturalizing hobby expanded to include butterflies, an attempt at moths, and now, passionately, the Odonata (that's damselflies and dragonflies). A friend noted that these are all "pretty things with wings". Here are some photos of pretty things with wings from the last couple of years - all in Wisconsin.
