WISIT is happening at the WIS’s Primary School campus in Georgetown: 1690 36th Street NW, Washington DC 20007

The Day at the Museums will take place, as always, on the National Mall, starting at the National Gallery of Art (4th St. & Constitution Ave. NW).

There will be limited parking at the Primary School campus, with some additional overflow spots available at Georgetown Visitation. We highly recommend that you use public transportation or a rideshare/ taxi service, if that is feasible for you. 

The campus is within a six-minute walk of several bus routes, including the D2, D6, 31, 33, and the DC Circulator Georgetown-Union Station route.

A light breakfast will be available in the mornings, and coffee service through 1:30pm each day except for Wednesday (Day at the Museums).

Lunch will be provided to all participants and faculty on every day of the institute except for Wednesday. Click HERE for the full catering menu for the week.

Dietary needs policy:

All catered food at the institute will be free of nuts, pork, and shellfish. There will always be vegetarian options.  

If you have any dietary needs not already covered, we encourage you to bring in your own lunch. A refrigerator and microwave will be available for your use. Please ask any WISSIT staff or volunteer for assistance.

Your schedule will be sent to you by wissit@casieonline.org to your registered email address.

You can also access your schedule by logging into the course registration site. You will use your email address and the confirmation number listed on your confirmation email to log in.

You should have received an email from wissit@casieonline.org with your registration confirmation number (if you have not, please email us right away). 

In June, you received a welcome letter from WISIT Director, Elise Stephenson, with logistical information about the institute and instructions for selecting your WISIT courses. You will use your email and confirmation number to log into the registration site and select your courses.

An email will be sent confirming your agenda. If you do not receive an email confirming your agenda, please contact Sarah Wells, our registration manager, at wissit@casieonline.org.

You can change your courses at any point, including during the institute week, as long as the one you desire is not at capacity. 

Email the WISIT Director, Elise Stephenson, with the name of your group, the size of your group, and what day you'd like to meet. We will confirm the space with you and add an announcement about your meeting at that day’s plenary session and it will be included in the daily institute emails.   Elise's email is elise.stephenson@wis.edu.
