2025 Faculty
Welcome to the 12th Annual WISSIT
Welcome to the 12th Annual WISSIT
WISSIT will take place at WIS’s Primary School campus in Georgetown: 1690 36th Street NW, Washington DC 20007
The Day at the Museums will take place on the National Mall, starting at the National Gallery of Art (4th St. & Constitution Ave. NW), East Building.
There will be limited parking at the Primary School campus, with some additional spots available at a nearby school. We highly recommend that you use public transportation or a rideshare/ taxi service, if that is feasible for you.
The campus is within a six-minute walk of several bus routes, including the D2, D6, 31, 33, and the DC Circulator Georgetown-Union Station route.
All classrooms are equipped with Apple AirPlay. If you use a PC, let us know, and we’ll make sure to have an adaptor/dongle ready for you–though it’s also probably a good idea to bring one from home if you have one that works with your specific device.
If you experience tech issues during the week of WISSIT, either notify someone on the leadership team, or you can send a request to the WIS IT Team by emailing support@wis.edu.
A light breakfast will be available in the mornings, and coffee service through 1:30pm each day except for Wednesday (Day at the Museums).
Lunch will be provided to all participants and faculty on every day of the institute except for Wednesday. Click HERE for the Daily Lunch Menu.
Dietary needs policy:
All catered food at the institute will be free of nuts, pork, and shellfish. There will always be vegetarian options.
If you have any dietary needs not already covered, we encourage you to bring in your own lunch. A refrigerator and microwave will be available for your use. Please ask any WISSIT staff or volunteer for assistance.
Georgina will send you your LG participant attendance list and profiles ahead of WISSIT.
To access course selection and your schedule Log in here.
Yes, we will send all in-person IC leaders (including museums courses) a course roster the Sunday before WISSIT begins. Please note that this will not be a final roster, as participants can change their selections up to the last minute.
For in-person courses, faculty do not need to register* in advance for a course they’d like to attend. We do recommend that you check in with the WISSIT Logistics Coordinator or the course leader to see if the course is already full.
*Please note: For Museum Day courses, please check in with the WISSIT Logistics Coordinator first as some courses have strict capacity restrictions. There are also a few courses that require us to submit an attendee list ahead of time for security reasons. They can assist you with this.
Email Elise at elise.stephenson@wis.edu and she will confirm the space with you and add an announcement about your meeting at that day’s plenary session and it will be included in the daily institute emails.

Need a digital space or distribution plan? Please contact Grace Davin at wisitprograms@wis.edu and she will help create a space or path for sharing your digital resources connected to the WISSIT Hub.
Resources can be shared via the cvent site and via our WISSIT Hub. We will do our best to update each space with course materials and plenary session slides as quickly as we can. Some materials won't be available until after the institute ends, so check back the following week.
You can find key Project Zero resources on our Resources page on this website.
Faculty and Participants have an opportunity to opt-in to a directory which is located HERE on this website. There is also a Padlet embedded in the Resources tab for faculty and participants to continue sharing resources, ideas, and questions. Additionally, the PD Collaborative hosts many free educator workshops throughout the academic year through DC-Project Zero (DCPZ). Keep an eye on those DCPZ monthly newsletters and social media posts to learn more!
