The role of active members is to support the organization's activities, participate in meetings and events, and contribute ideas and efforts to help achieve WPTO's mission and objectives. Membership is open to anyone committed to supporting the education and development of students in the Winthrop community. This includes parents, guardians, teachers, school staff, homeschool families, and those with children attending other schools or learning environments.
Active members of the Winthrop Parent Teacher Organization can vote on WPTO decisions as well as hold office on the Board of Directors
To be considered an active member, individuals must complete an annual membership form during the current school year.Â
There are no mandatory membership dues, though voluntary contributions are welcome.
Active membership is not required to attend meetings or volunteer, or to participate in WPTO events and activities.
The PTA volunteers serve breakfast at the grade school every morning! Volunteers commit to one (or more!) mornings a week to come in from 8-9pm to serve. If you are interested in becoming a breakfast cart volunteer, please reach out to Bethany at pta@winthropschools.org.
