Civics Overview
This full-year Civics course will allow students to have a deep understanding of the the three branches of the United States Government. Students will have exposure to important supreme court cases, the Constitution, the voting process, immigration, and current events. I encourage each student to expand on the topics we will be discussing in this course, at their own leisure and interest.
Welcome to Mrs. Said's Class!
I am so excited to start my fourth year of teaching with you. For the 2018-2019 school year I was able to be a student teacher at Windham High School with two different social studies teachers. I graduated in 2019 from the University of Southern Maine. Following graduation my husband and I had our first son, and I was able to take a year off to be with him. Now I have been back in the classroom for going on four years, and have added a daughter to our family. I am excited to tackle this year with you!
My free time is spent with my little family, which also includes a now very big Great Pyrenees doggie named Gracie! My husband, son, daughter, dog, and I enjoy going for walks together, and spending time outside.
