MY MINI BIOGRAPHY
My name is Sam, and I am oldest of 4 girls. My family was born and raised in Winthrop, and I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach in my hometown. I graduated from Winthrop High School in 2020 and went on to receive my Elementary Education degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. During college, I substituted in local school districts, worked as a school librarian, tutored students, and also spent time working in local daycares. In the summer, I spent lots of time at the Winthrop Recreation Program managing Lonney's Summer Kids Club day camp.
My three sisters are also my built-in best friends. Our family enjoys attending field hockey games, track meets, camping up north, and spending time on the coast. They have been my biggest cheerleaders and supporters since I decided to pursue a degree in teaching (at age 7!!). I always knew I had wanted to teach - ask any of my sisters; they sat through my homemade 'lessons' at home as toddlers!
I currently live in Jay with my boyfriend Seth and our two cats, Murph and Addie. Those two bring me joy and drive me crazy ❤️ I love to read, write, bake, garden, and spend time outdoors, disconnected from social media whenever I can!
