Welcome! I fell in love with Winthrop High during my student teaching in the spring of 2020, and couldn't be more excited to now be an official member of the staff. I teach English to grades 11 & 12. I graduated from Thomas College in May 2020 with a minor in Diversity — which is a strong passion of mine. Due to this passion, I have taken up the task of being one of two advisors of the Civil Rights Team at Winthrop High School. Additionally, I am a co-advisor for our Yearbook club.
Outside of school, I am an assistant dance instructor at Nicole's School of Dance where I grew up dancing and continue to dance in the adult classes. I am heading into my 14th season at Nicole's studio.
When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our cats. One of our favorite activities is to hike and explore all the beautiful places that our home state has hidden away.
On a quiet day at home, I can be found reading or bingeing a good series on TV.
I am so excited to get to know each and everyone of you!
Please feel free to browse the photos below for a glimpse into who I am. :)
