A borrowing library is in the works! We currently have several titles and are accumulating more daily. We have not yet begun the process of cataloging books but if you would like to email me with titles your child is interested in - I would be happy to let you know if we have that title available.
If you don't want to go to the library, most public libraries have ebooks and audiobooks available to borrow online.
If you have a Winthrop Public Library or Boston Public Library card, you may borrow ebooks or audiobooks using free apps: Hoopla, Overdrive, or Libby
If you do not already have a library card, you can sign up for an online borrowing card from Boston Public Library if you are 13 years old and live in Massachusetts. If you’re 12 and under, you can get a card with the signature of a parent or guardian at any BPL location.
Apply here: https://www.bpl.org/ecard/ or visit https://www.bpl.org/faq/getting-a-library-card/ for more information.
Formerly Books for the Blind, this site is restricted to adults and children with diagnosed print disabilities, such as blindness, dyslexia, or other learning disabilities affecting reading. Learning Ally does have a monthly fee of $11.25, but its catalogue of human-read books is extensive and includes textbooks. It is a valuable resource for those who qualify.
