The PTO is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the education and enrichment of our children. The GFB PTO helps meet the educational and recreational needs of our students, facilitates communication among families, teachers and administrators, and promotes school spirit and pride.
Throughout the year, we organize fun family events, educational programs and fundraising opportunities that directly benefit our students and teachers. There are many ways for families to get involved, whether by attending an event, volunteering, supporting a fundraiser or sharing ideas with the PTO.
Our fundraising supports enrichment programs, teacher appreciation initiatives, classroom activities, technology, equipment and other school needs. Last year, our largest fundraising events included a Parents’ Night Out Trivia event, restaurant nights at La Siesta and 90 Degrees, Rebecca’s Nut-Free Cookie Dough sales and a Cash Calendar Raffle.
Through fundraising, the PTO provides $200 in classroom grants to each teacher. Last year, we also supported the second-grade field trip to Stone Zoo and brought programs such as Eyes on Owls, Amazing Hero Art and Curious Creatures to the school, among many other activities and teacher appreciation events.
