Introduction:
I’ve loved making up stories and being creative for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had an active imagination, and it has at times been my downfall, but it’s also one of my strengths. I’ve turned my endless daydreams into art that I use to show parts of myself to the world, and I hope that someday others can find parts of themselves in it as well.
Backward is a poem I wrote for class, and I honestly didn’t like it much at first. I thought it was too simple and didn’t fit the typical criteria of a shape poem. It wasn’t until I got feedback about it that I started to like it. And now, Backward serves as a reminder to me that simple can still be enough.
The Lyric Poem I Can’t Write. Was exactly that, I couldn’t come up with something to write about for the life of me. I sat for hours just trying to figure out what this poem would be about, and I was running out of time. So I used that feeling to inspire me. Hope you like it.
