This is a time to focus. First, get your deposit in to reserve a seat at Wingate University for the Fall 2021 semester. Then open your email to find messages from Wingate that will include access to your Wingate account and your Wingate new student portal. Schedule in an hour each week to work on the forms there and read new emails from Wingate with new actions to take. Lastly, focus on succeeding wherever you are at, finish this spring strong, and be ready for the future!
March-April: Informational Webinars for Deposited New Students
We held a number of informational webinars in the Spring of 2021. If you could not attend, please click on the links below to watch it now.
March: Personalized Student Portal with Required Enrollment Forms Opens
Every new student receives access to a personalized portal where they can find all the forms they must submit before they begin classes at Wingate. The deadlines vary from May 1st through July 1st.
Once a student has their Wingate email access and changes their password, they can access their portal from that email after March 1st. Click here for a 15-minute video with detailed instructions and trouble-shooting information.
April-June: Online Orientation Course Opens and Campus Visit Days for Deposited Students and Families
All new students are required to complete the Online Orientation Course WINGATE 101 before their first semester at Wingate University. This course will open in April and be available until August 2021. Students use their Wingate email to access the course. Click here to access the course.
All new students and their families should visit our Wingate campus at some point before they begin classes here. We love our campus and think you will too! We've developed a special campus tour for deposited students, where you'll meet with key folks you need to know, pick up your official Wingate student ID, and receive some fun gifts. If you would like to schedule a tour of campus, please email admit@wingate.edu to request one now.

August 13-18: Welcome Week and Move-In Days TBD
Move-in days will be determined depending on the status of Covid-19 restrictions and other factors. Students will be notified of their specific move-in date sometime over the summer. Most first year students will move in on either August 14th or 15th.
Welcome Week is a series of fun events that begins 5 days before the first day of classes and lasts throughout the next week. Some are required, so plan to be available and on-campus.
As long as the Covid-19 threat continues to subside and the vaccines continue to be effective and administered to most Americas, we are planning to hold classes in-person starting on August 19th.
Student schedules vary depending on each student's major and course section availability. Schedules will become available starting in June for those who complete their portal forms before May 1. For those completing these forms after this early date, we will be building schedules based on your course preference forms throughout July. Course schedules can be modified during the drop and add period in the first week of classes.
Most courses are either a 3 day a week format for 50 minutes each day (typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday), or a 2 day a week format with classes lasting 75 minutes each (typically either Monday and Wednesday afternoons or Tuesday and Thursday).
