Swing Steady

Our Project is a backpack that has a built in chair. This could be used to help people with physical disabilities that have difficulty balancing stay stable when swinging a golf club. That backpack would have two extendable legs at the back and a seat that can fold out from the back pad of the backpack. The seat would have one additional detachable leg that would help support . The person using the backpack would sit and be able to stay balanced while swinging the club. Our main clients of focus would be people with balancing issues and orgizinations that help with adaptive golf

With many solutions to help with this problem many of them are super expensive and hard to use, this is why we designed the Swing Steady: a simple easy to use device that straps to your back! One of the main current solutions is called the para-golfer, this is a hi tech wheelchair that straps you in and raises to a standing position so you can golf. The main issues with this solution is to change it for someones hight you have break down the chair and rebuild it. There are many adaptive sports clinics that have a golf program but many have to spend thousands to get the technology to allow people to golf.
