SUMMER READING

Welcome! At Windsor, summer reading should be a fun, engaging, and enjoyable experience for all. Our goal is to facilitate valuable reading experiences that inspire connections to our curriculum, current events, and a diverse array of experiences.

All Windsor students are expected to read at least one book over the summer break. While the guidelines for each grade level vary, all students should expect to be held accountable for their reading during the first week(s) of school. Click on the grade level buttons below to learn more!

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE

Where in the world is the Windsor community reading?

The Windsor community disperses locally and internationally over the summer, reading both in the comforts of their homes as well as in new (and sometimes unexpected!) frontiers.

All members of the Windsor community are encouraged to participate in this year's Summer Reading Challenge by submitting a photo, image, or link of what you are reading to the Padlet below. Tag your location and be sure to include your name, grade level (if applicable), book title, author, and a favourite quote. Every complete post will count as an entry to a raffle to win a $30 Amazon gift card, so be sure to submit more than one if you can!*

A winner from each of the following groups will be selected during our first all-school assembly of the year: Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, Grade 12, Windsor Teachers & Staff, and Windsor Parents & Guardians.

*The final date for Summer Reading Challenge submissions will be Sunday, September 3rd.
