It’s a one click single sign-on solution that gives you and your students anytime, anywhere access to all applications and all of your files in Google Drive with fewer passwords. Why:
In the wake of CT’s new student data privacy law, it is important that all students use applications that protect student data and privacy. If the application appears in ClassLink then it is compliant and/or the district has a paid contract for that software. The district is working to add even more applications over time.
We all have too many passwords to the extent that sometimes we don’t use software because we can’t remember our logins! While we all have developed our own strategies for application and password management, from saving passwords within the internet browser, to online password managers, to paper lists and post-it notes, using Classlink is a more secure option. Classlink requires you to login with only your Google username and password to access your personal application dashboard. In order to set up single-sign on in Classlink with most applications, all you need to do is login to each application one-time (e.g. STAR) , and after that you will be “automagically” logged in to the software when you click on the application icons on your ClassLink dashboard. *** Important, if you have passwords already saved within your internet browser, you should delete them because they may conflict with passwords you are saving within ClassLink and cause ClassLink not to work for you.
