Would You Rather?

(Grades 4-12)

This is a blog of neat choices to make based on interesting, daily, logical math. The choices are student-friendly and engaging. You can sign up for the blog and get new choices to inject into your routine every once in a while.

Estimation 180

This is a site for daily estimation opportunities for grades 2-12. It is a chance for estimations in a variety of number systems.

ICT Games

This is a resource for games, and more--like the trip-ometer for counting.

Xtra Math

This site is a good one for practicing facts. It has a time limit, so students won't over use it.

Zearn

(Grades 1-5)

This is a free math skills practice program that will offer video instruction when performance indicates the need. This is designed to support station-based instruction using Engage NY/Eureka Math. It offers instruction, practice, and paper exit tickets. It allows for teacher prescription and also produces reports for teachers.

TenMarks

(Grades 1-8 and Algebra)

This site is partially free, and is hosted by Amazon. It has two great features. There are ready-to-use curriculum planning resources and interactive lessons for grades 1–8 and Algebra. It also allows teachers to design assignments per students. (TenMarks premium is $20/student for teachers to access assessments, automated differentiation, & instructional resources across all grades.)

Sumdog

This offers practice, games, and lessons for math. It is free, unless you want records or more control of what your students will use it for.

Khan Academy Math

This site has tutorials and practice for each grade level--K to HS.

Ken Ken Puzzles

This game promotes composition and decomposition of number. It offers many levels and is good for early addition to complex problem solving. It can be timed or not.

Kakooma

This game has levels for grade 1 to high school. It promotes fluency in basic skills. It is one of the games on the site, Greg Tang Math. It can be timed or not.

Mathlanding

This site is a collection of math activity sites from around the world. It allows teachers to search by topic, grade level, or specific title. All sites are vetted by experienced math educators.

Johnnie's Math Page

(K-6, Interactive tools, and other Teacher resources)

This site is a collection of grade specific or domain specific games. It is also a collection of tools you can use for your IWB, or there are also worksheets and tutorials.

Johnnie's Middle School Math Page

(Grades 6-9)

This is a spin-off of the elementary site, so it is a collection of games, tools, and teacher resources. There are additional pages that have calculators, cad sites, and 'fun' choices. These 'fun' choices are those wonderfully nerdy life/theory puzzles that elicit, "Oh, Cool!".

ABCya

(Elementary)

ABCya is an award-winning destination for elementary students that offers hundreds of fun, engaging learning activities. This has both ELA and Math; is free; and addresses most CCSS.
