An engaging course that explores a variety of basic computational thinking and programming concepts through a project-based learning environment. Every unit of content culminates in a comprehensive project and roughly 75% of student time is spent building projects and practicing the skills they are learning.

This course provides an introduction to computer science and will be of interest to both majors and non-majors who want to learn foundational concepts in the field, as well as common computer science applications. Students will learn how to apply computational thinking to solve a variety of problems through hands-on projects. 

Introduces general principles of programming. Students will learn to break a problem into manageable parts and think in logical ways. The course builds a strong foundation of structured programming before introducing object-oriented programming. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the high-level computer programming languages. 

Introduction to the principles of game design and development. History of the industry, story, and game mechanics. Students must possess digital literacy skills and can understand to set up a project and organize documents.

An initial course in blueprint reading and 3D Design Software. Topics include lines and their uses, auxiliary views, sectional views, basic and special dimensioning, dimensioning practices for holes, chamfers, angle, tapers, keyways diameters, radius, and geometric tolerance. Students will explore the evolution of professional drafting from hand-drafting to computer aided drafting (CAD, ScketchUp, QCad, Tinkercad, Autocad, etc).
