Writing and reading are both fundamental. There are few things better than having the opportunity to write about reading!

Sixth grade students choose novels that are of interest to them, and read independently. Their blogs, written on both assigned prompts and those of free choice, are designed to help them think about what they have read and to focus on writing for a broad audience.
