The mental health telephone crisis hotline provides free, confidential 24/7 assistance for individuals in need of crisis services or those seeking help for family, friends, or loved ones in need of emergency behavioral health services.
The services provided by the crisis hotline include:
*Crisis Counseling
*Link to Mobile Crisis Services, if necessary
*Help to facilitate and implement voluntary and involuntary inpatient hospitalization through Mobile Crisis Services.
*Link to outpatient community behavioral resources and services.

SAP is a program that helps students overcome barriers to learning. The Windber Area Elementary SAP team will help you find services and assistance within your school, and if needed, in the community. We do not diagnose, treat, or refer your child for treatment. We will provide you with information and you make the choice(s) that best fit your needs and wishes.
Here is how you can get help:
*Tell an adult ( teacher, counselor, staff member, parent or respected community member) to make the SAP referral.
*Parents, teachers or students can make a referral- just stop in or call 467-4567 x107.
*Confidential referral forms are available from Mrs. Minahan or Mrs. Culp.

How ChildLine Protects Children
ChildLine is part of a mandated statewide child protective services program designed to accept child abuse referrals and general child well-being concerns, and transmit the information quickly to the appropriate investigating agency. ChildLine is responsible for receiving verbal and electronic referrals 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The toll-free hotline, 1-800-932-0313, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive reports of suspected child abuse. Mandated reporters can report electronically.
Additionally, child abuse investigation outcomes and general protective services assessment outcomes are submitted to, and reviewed and finalized by, ChildLine specialists.
