Elementary School Counselor
Hello! I am so happy to be your child's School Counselor at Windber Area Elementary. I work with all students in grades K4 - 5th grade. It's hard for me to believe, but the 2023-2024 school year is my 25th year here! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition, I have previous experience in a Career Center and as a Therapeutic Support Staff. I also have helped coach/support youth sports teams. When not at school, I am happily busy at my other full time job ... mom two my two teenage sons.

School Counseling Services
Individual Counseling
I can meet with students on a short term basis to discuss and problem solve issues that may be causing them uncomfortable feelings such as grief, friendship issues and changes at home.
Small Group Counseling
I can facilitate small groups of 4-6 students will meet together over 8 sessions to learn and practice skills in a targeted area such as social skills.
Classroom Lessons
Your child will see me in class teaching skills that meet our PBIS expectations of being Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and Caring. I also teach Elementary Career Education and Work skills including identifying our interests, learning about jobs in our school and community, using a schedule, following directions and teamwork.
Consultation and Collaboration
I work with parents, teachers, administration and outside agencies to ensure that out students can have the best possible educational experience. I help connect families to services both in school and out.
