Crater Lake

Crater Lake National Park is located in the state of Oregon. Nearly 650,000 people visit the park each year! This park is actually the caldera of a volcano that collapsed almost 8,000 years ago. Rain and snow filled it over time, so now it is a lake! It is the deepest lake in the United States. Many people like to bird watch, hike, and take boat tours when they visit the park. It is home to many animals like bears, coyotes, elk, and porcupines.
