Pickle Autopsy

Students practiced their directional terms and body landmarks to determine cause of death and write up the autopsy report.

Anatomy students became coroners for the day

A terrible incident has occurred in Winchester! It appears that two gangs of Pickles, the Clausens and Vlasics have had a big fight. At approximately 2:00 AM paramedics arrived on the scene having been dispatched in response to a call from neighbors who heard a great deal of commotion, including gun shots. Unfortunately, none of the victims found could not be revived and were pronounced dead when paramedics arrived on the scene. Estimated time of death was at 1:15 AM.

As the county coroner, students were responsible for performing an autopsy on one of the Pickle gang members' corpses and reporting the cause of his death. Keep in mind that some of the gang members may have had health issues prior to the gang fight which may have contributed to their death.

"Homer" O-Stasis

Can you keep Homer in homeostasis?

Using negative feedback mechanisms the students attempted to keep Homer in homeostasis by regulating his temperature and color concentration.

Zoology Student's were seeing Stars(Fish)

Skeletal System Science

Anatomy students tracing themselves. They will use these outlines to fill in body systems throughout the year.

More Anatomy Students testing the strength of long bones

How do you get ahold of a crustacean?

Call them on their "shell" phone

Zoology students dissecting crayfish

Taking a walk in geriatric shoes

Anatomy students taped their knuckles and put on gloves to simulate the effects of arthritis.

They were then challenged with a set of tasks

Learning through Osmosis

Biology Students used eggs to represent a cell and demonstrate osmosis
