The safety of every child is our highest priority at Wincham Community Primary School. For our pupils to learn and thrive, they must feel safe and secure.
This week, our assemblies focused on a very simple and powerful message from our Child-Friendly Safeguarding Policy: you can always talk to a trusted adult if you have a problem. We taught the children that it's okay to speak up, whether they are worried about something big or small.
We have spoken to the children about the key trusted adults in school they can talk to, such as their class teacher or one of our designated safeguarding leads. We want every child to know these faces and feel comfortable approaching them.
As parents, you are our most important partners in this. Please know that our door is always open. By working together, we can ensure Wincham remains a place where our children feel safe, happy, and confident to learn, grow, and dream.
A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our "Meet the Teacher" sessions this week! It was wonderful to see so many of you engage with your child's new class teacher and learn about the exciting year ahead.
We truly value these opportunities to connect and strengthen the partnership between home and school.
For those who couldn't make it, or if you'd like to revisit any of the information shared, please remember that all key details, presentations, and resources are available on your child's class page on our school website. You'll find everything you need there to support your child's learning journey this year.
Thank you once again for your fantastic support!
Pass the parcel fun!
What a fantastic time we had celebrating the official naming of our new after-school club – Treetops!
The children enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter, games, and pure fun as they celebrated their brand-new, vibrant setting. There was a wonderful atmosphere of excitement as everyone embraced the new name, which the children themselves helped to choose. It was truly heartwarming to see them playing together and making the most of their dedicated space.
We're so pleased with how well Treetops has been received and the joy it brings to our pupils after school hours.
Keep an eye out for more fun to come – we'll be announcing the date for our exciting Treetops Halloween Party in October very soon! You won't want to miss it!
