Residency Education for Licensure pathway is a model designed to assist residency candidates with meeting residency licensure requirements.

Students in the MAT program may be eligible for the TEACH Grant which provides up to $4000 per year to qualified students. You must apply for federal financial aid to see if you qualify.
There are five concentrations/licensure areas in the MAT - Elementary Education, Secondary Math, Secondary English, Secondary Social Studies, and Secondary Comprehensive Science. Teachers are in high demand and most of our students have jobs before they finish the program.

Wake Tech offers an elementary education (K-6 only) residency licensure certificate for those who have a four-year degree and are looking to add on licensure.
NCSU offers courses online, in person in the evening, or through a mix of face-to-face and online courses.
