Want to combine your artistic skills with technical skills to create fabulous graphics?! Ever wanted to add a picture of yourself to a famous landmark or posed with a celebrity? How about learning to make well-known logos? In this course, students will be introduced to Adobe Photoshop used to edit images and Adobe Illustrator used to create logos. You'll walk away with some awesome skills and a curiosity to want to learn more about the graphic design industry!
Public Safety refers to the welfare and protection of the general public. In this class you will learn how to prevent and protect the public from dangers affecting their safety such as crimes or disasters. This will be a fun real life experience in the ways of Public Safety and an insight into the training of those who respond when needed.
Skills to know when dealing with patients
We will be utilizing technology and programming class, associated with Gaming and Coding skills. This course will cover all the core concepts from the Middle and High School curriculum for Computer Science Fundamentals but at an accelerated pace designed for students ages 10 - 18. This course will also offer hands-on stem activities with an application of Critical Thinking to better prepare our students for the workplace.
Customized course designed to improve communication, enhance awareness of self and others, and provide fundamentals of leadership and followership. The course focuses on the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) mission to “develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.”
Intro to tools, safety, and basic carpentry skills.
Blueprints, carpentry key skills, building a group project
Basic skills needed to be a responsible car owner and potential careers related to transportation.
Introduction to the basics of drone flying.
Introduction to kitchen skills and potential careers.
Word processing, entrepreneurship, and other useful skills in the business arena
Introduction to the use of robots in the classroom and gaming through the use of code combat.
Introduction to Farm animals and careers in Agriculture.
Who: Students who are entering grades 6-12 are invited to apply for mini-courses based on their interests. The entire list of offerings and meeting days will be available after teachers complete applications.
