Mrs. Gore

Welcome to my class. This is my 30th year of teaching and my 21st year at New Hope. I have taught 2nd grade for most of those years. I did teach 2 years of Art and 4 years of 2nd grade in Brunswick County at the beginning of my career and a year of 2nd grade then a year of 1st grade in New Hanover County.

My husband and I have 2 children. My daughter is 23 and is an architect in Charlotte, NC. My son is 20 and is beginning his junior year at UNC. GO HEELS! My husband is a real estate appraiser in Wilson. In the summer time I sometimes help Mr. Gore with his job.

I love animals so I have 1 dog and 2 cats. I also love to read, especially on the beach! If I eat with my class in the cafeteria you will most likely see me reading. 

I love 2nd grade. I am structured, organized, and committed to helping your child grow and be challenged at their pace. I have strong expectations for being kind to one another as we grow. 

Finally, I love being creative (you might spot some of my work in the library and on the 2/3 hall), all things chocolate (especially dark chocolate or M&Ms), and Coca Cola!-NO Diet Coke
