Congratulations to Kathryn Adkins for earning the Brinkley-Lane Scholarship to East Carolina University. This is their most prestigious award! Recipients are recognized not only for their academic performance, but also for community engagement and leadership skills. This scholarship fully funds a four year education with a stipend of $5,000 to study abroad.
Congratulations to Kara Sheldon for receiving one of the Pee Wee Myrtle Owens Scholarships presented by the Wilson County Schools. Kara plans to attend NC State next year. Additionally, Kara is representing her class in the witn Class of 2024!

In the words of her teachers,
Caroline is involved in many activities both in and out of school. She manages each of these with maturity and responsibility. She is organized and dependable and can be counted on to fulfill all her responsibilities!
Caroline is balanced because she shows her strengths in her classes and in her extracurriculars. She also values her time with family and knows that in order to successfully juggle all that she does, she must master the act of balancing.
IB Seniors created outfits during Spanish class out of recycled materials. They then had to explain them in the Spanish language. Pictured above are Sam Antolick, Venus Bonifacio, and Kara Sheldon. Venus and Kara made their shirt and dress out of scrap material!

Sam Antolick has just earned the status of being the only one in his martial arts school to reach the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt while still in high school. In order to achieve this, he has trained consistently for the past 14 years. He recently tested in Richmond in front of the founder of his martial arts school and performed a breaking demonstration where he broke 11 boards. He is currently only one degree below being recognized as a master in martial arts. Congratulations, Sam!
