Class Expectations

P.B.I.S., School Wide and Other Policies

I follow all school wide policies as set forth by the Administration at Fike High School. Fike High School also supports Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports i.e., PBIS. Students are given opportunities to receive rewards for exhibiting positive behavior traits and opportunities to participate in a variety of activities throughout the school year.

Displayed below are the schoolwide policies that have the most offenses by students throughout the school year and the consequences for each policy. Additionally, eating is NOT permitted in the classrooms.



Tardy Policy

Tardy Policy

Tardy is 1 second after the bell up to 5 minutes late to the classroom.

Skipping is from 6 minutes until 14 minutes after the bell.

Absent is 15 minutes or more after the bell.


Consequences

  • 1st Tardy - Teacher Warning
  • 2nd Tardy - Parent Phone Call
  • 3rd Tardy Office Referral which will result in 1 day ISS
  • 4th Tardy is Office Referral which will result in 1 day OSS.
  • 5th or more Tardy will result in continued OSS


Cell Phone and Earbud Policy

Cell Phone Policy

Cell Phone use is permitted in the Cafeteria and Hallways

Cellphones and Earbuds are NOT permitted in the Classroom. This means NOT EVEN VISIBLE. It is not your clock, you are not charging it, you may not have it out period. THIS IS YOUR WARNING.


Consequences

  • Cell Phone Insubordination first offense is a Teacher Warning and Parent Notification.
  • Cell Phone second offense is phone taken during period and returned after class. Parent will be contacted by Teacher again.
  • Cell phone Insubordination is 3 days OSS for 1st Office Referral.


Dress Code Policy

Students must wear clothing that covers the skin from chest to mid-thigh with opaque(non-see-through) fabric in front, back, and on the sides.

Clothing must cover undergarments.

Your t-shirt should NOT be longer than your shorts.

Head coverings, hats, hoods, sweatbands, and bandanas are prohibited unless they are for religious belief or medical reasons.

Consequences

  • 1st Offense-- Send the student to Choice. They will need to call home for a change of clothing. They will remain there all day if clothes are not provided.
  • 2nd Offense-- Student is referred to Choice again. An office referral is submitted by Mrs. Batts. 1 day of ISS
  • 3rd Offense and all other instances-- The student is sent to choice to change. An office referral is submitted and the student will receive OSS.
