My name is Christine Mitchell and I currently serve as the District STEM Coordinator for Wilson County Schools. I have a strong passion for educational technology, curriculum and instruction, and STEM/PBL integration for grades K-12.
I have always had an interest in working in Education. I am an Owens Scholar from Beddingfield High and graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Math and Science in 2009. I began my teaching career at Speight Middle School, where I taught 7th and 8th grade math, science and Math I for 5 years.
Because of my love for educational technology and interest in curriculum and instruction, I decided to attend graduate school at East Carolina University. I received a Masters in Instructional Technology and graduated with my doctorate from the University of South Carolina in STEM Education.
I am always looking to grow professionally and love to connect with others in the educational field. Let's connect!
