Do I need to initiate contact to schedule an IEP meeting prior to my son/daughter's IEP expiration date in order to prevent expiration of the document?

No. Parents will be contacted prior to IEP and Eligibility expiration by the school personnel to schedule the meeting to update all information.

How do I schedule a meeting if I need to meet with Mrs. Buckner?

Call 615-773-3052 and ask to schedule a meeting with Mrs. Buckner regarding your student.

Do all questions and concerns require a meeting at school?

No. Many parent questions and concerns can be answered by phone or email. Please call Mrs. Buckner at 615-773-3052 or email at bucknerk@wcschools.com with the question or concern. Every attempt will be made to return correspondence within 24 hours during the school week. If parents have specific questions for their son/daughter's classroom teacher, please email the individual teacher directly and copy Mrs. Buckner so that she can be sure all needed accommodations and plans are in compliance.

What if I have a question about my son/daughter's schedule?

Contact the student's school counselor at 615-758-5606 and follow prompts for the Counseling Office.

Where are your lesson plans for your classes?

Since Mrs. Buckner is the case manager for all students with Inclusion, Resource, or Consultation services, she does not teach specific classes. In order to see your son/daughter's class plans and requirements, please see each of his/her individual teacher's website for specific class lesson plans and requirements.
