The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is designed to assist school personnel in identifying issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) is to help students overcome these barriers in order for students to achieve, remain in school, and advance. School-Based Outpatient Therapy
The WASD provides school-based outpatient therapy through Concern Counseling Services. Through this program, students will meet one-on-one with a certified Mental Health Counselor in the school building, during the school day, for therapy services. This service is also available in the Concern Offices, if you prefer. Please contact your child's School Counselor if you are interested in learning more or would like a referral submitted on your behalf.

IBHS includes the following services: Behavioral Consultant (BC), Mobile Therapist (MT), Behavior Health Technician (BHT).
The Communities In Schools Site Coordinator at Wilson Area Intermediate School supports students in grades 5–8 by providing a range of services. These services promote academic success, positive behavior, and emotional well-being. Through Tier I schoolwide initiatives, Mrs. Gerlach helps create a positive and inclusive school climate by promoting regular attendance, respectful behavior, and emotional awareness for all students.
For those needing more targeted support, we offer Tier II small groups focusing on managing emotions, anger management, and building social and relationship skills. Tier III case management is available for students who may benefit from more frequent, one-on-one support. CIS involves building trusting relationships, providing consistency, and encouragement when students need help reaching their goals. Mrs. Gerlach ensures every student has someone in their corner, helping them overcome barriers and stay on track to succeed!
