Learning Commons Spaces

Creativity Studio (Makerspace)

The Creativity Studio is where students can gather to create, invent, and learn. In our space we have 3D printers, building materials, electronics, craft supplies, and tools that support classroom learning. (Wall between the Curiosity Lab and the Creativity Studio can be opened to fit two classes in the space.)

Curiosity Lab (Technology Lab)

In this flexible environment using mobile technologies, such as laptops and iPads, students can work collaboratively or independently on projects. Students will also have the opportunity to continue learning computer science and coding. (Wall between the Curiosity Lab and the Creativity Studio can be opened to fit two classes in the space.)

Communication Center (Presentation Area)

Share your favorite stories with your teachers and friends. This area was designed to accommodate an entire class. With a large projection screen, classes can come together to view presentations, Skype with experts and authors, and share new ideas.

Collaboration Rooms

These three small group rooms are perfect for collaboration. Teachers and students can work together in a quiet room and groups of students can actively plan together using an Apple TV with screen sharing capabilities. (The Blue and Yellow rooms can be combined into one large room and hold 10 students.)

Community Circle

These tables are designed for small group interaction and collaboration. Students are encouraged to work together on research and projects.
