Hi :) Thank you for being here. I am excited to join the second grade team at Central Elementary! I have been an educator for over 15 years. I taught first, second, and third grade!
I earned my bachelor's degrees in Speech Pathology/Audiology and Elementary Education from the University of Iowa and later completed a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL endorsement from Concordia University.
For the past 4 years, I served as an instructional coach and educational consultant, where I partnered with teachers to strengthen instruction and improve student learning. I am excited to bring these experiences to the classroom. This will be my 12th year in the classroom.
I live in Chicago with my husband and three children (Tommy, Chloe, and Mia). Outside of school, I enjoy reading, traveling, and coaching volleyball and softball. I look forward to partnering with my students and their families. Let's have a fantastic school year!
