What is the PTO?

In short, it's you! The PTO is a place where parents and teachers work together to build and support a positive school culture where all children can thrive and all families can participate. It's a great place to share and build the educational experience you want your child to experience!

Will Rogers is your child's home away from home. Family events help you get to know the adults and children your child learns with each day, connect with other families, and share the knowledge and talents you have with WR!

Fundraise for School Needs

Our goal is to increase engaging learning opportunities and create a great school environment. School needs typically include supplies, field trips, beautification projects, school safety, and enrichment activities.

Appreciate Teachers & Staff

Our Wildcat team is the best, and we want them to know it. PTO volunteers provide classroom support, food, and encouragement to teachers and staff throughout the year.

Why should I join?

Joining the PTO gives you a chance to share your ideas and the needs of your child with school leaders, while making connections with other parents. It is a way to get to know teachers and staff. You can raise issues important to you and shape opportunities at Will Rogers. You'll also be the first to know about school needs and how you can help!

What is required of me?

You decide! Maybe your schedule only allows you to drop off food items for teacher appreciation or family events. Awesome! Perhaps you can speak about your job or cultural knowledge with one of our classes. Maybe you can help with art classes, preparing teacher materials, or at family events. Perhaps you can sign up for a shift at the book fair, sell food at an event, or count money during fundraising weeks. Maybe you can lead a special project to strengthen our school. You might have a brand new idea.. let's talk about it!

How do I join?

Join our email list to receive information about events and online forms to sign up to donate small items or share your time throughout the year. Attend a meeting on the second Thursday of each month at 5:45 pm. To be an official voting member we ask for a $5 donation each year, but all families and supporters of Will Rogers Elementary students are always welcome at any event or meeting.
