WSHS Counseling Connection

Mini Biography:  

My name is Amy Barlow and I have been in education for 26 years.  I am a native of Republic, Missouri.  Following high School, I attended Missouri State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, with a Minor in Chemistry.  I was employed as a Science teacher for 9 years before again returning to college at MSU to obtain my Master of Science in Counseling.  I have been a High School Guidance Counselor for 15 years.  I am also an adjunct instructor for Drury University. I have been teaching psychology classes for the past 12 years (Principles of Psychology, Applied Human Development and Stress Management.) 

On a personal note, I have been married for 26 years.  I have 2 stepsons and a 2 grandsons.  I live on a farm in Mansfield and enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and friends.  I am an avid animal lover.  I have dogs, cats, chickens, cows, horses, & goats.  They bring me a lot of joy and are an excellent source of mental health therapy.
