Hello everyone! My name is Lauren Stone and I have the privilege of teaching 7th-grade global studies. I moved to Williston 12 years ago from Bozeman, MT where I received a degree in History and a degree in Elementary and Secondary Education from Montana State University-Bozeman. I also hold a master’s degree in Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and studied abroad at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. Next summer I will begin my doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Mary in Bismarck.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy trying different foods with my husband, Brandon, and spending time with our two children, Jackson (13) and Charleigh (10). We also have two chihuahuas, Lucy Diamond and Eleanor Rigby. Traveling has always been a top priority for me and my family, and we've been blessed that we have been able to experience the world together.

Bringing global education to my students both in and out of the classroom is very important to me, which is why I began a travel club for students and families called “S.T.E.W. Crew”. I am excited to continue this travel program in the District and to provide global education opportunities to students and their families in Williston.
