Mr. Liebel

Hello, I'm Matt Liebel. This will be my 13th year teaching in Williston Public School District. I taught 8th grade earth science for the 11 years at Williston Middle School. I am excited for this new challenge at ASB Innovation Academy!

I have lived in western North Dakota my entire life, I grew up in Watford City, went to college at Minot State University and then moved to Williston.

I have a beautiful wife of almost 9 years, Amy who is also teaching at the academy. We have 2 awesome children: Mason who is 8 and will be in 2nd grade and Bridget who is 5 and is in preschool this year! We also have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and many fish swimming around our house!

I LOVE fishing, I fish at almost any chance I get. I own and operate Liebel's Guide Service which is in it's 10th year! So I take people fishing all summer! I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors and am really looking forward to teaching a ND outdoors class!

I also enjoy sports. I coach basketball and golf at Williston Middle School. I also officiate football and basketball. 5 years ago we were able to officiate the ND AAA football title game at the Fargo Dome!
