Welcome to Accounting!
Accounting is a full-year course designed to develop occupational competencies in accounting. This course may be taken by any student as a third credit of math and/or as an elective. This course is recommended for grade level 11 & 12.
The content of this first-year accounting course emphasizes the proprietorship form of organization of service businesses and partnership form or organization of merchandising businesses. Students are expected to gain proficiency in manual and automated accounting procedures for the complete accounting cycle.
Upon successful completion of the Accounting course the student will be well qualified to accept entry-level positions involving journalizing and posting special journals and ledgers. Accounting is highly recommended for business students and academic students planning to study Business in college.
