Mrs. Forbes

Resource

About Me:

My name is Randi Jo Forbes; I am the intervention & resource teacher for K-2. I work with students in a separate setting where I will provide resources and intervention work to help students reach their academic and SEL goals. I have been with the Academy since 2017 starting as the testing coordinator but now transitioning into a resource position.

I was born and in raised in eastern North Carolina where I attended my first two years of college at North Carolina Wesleyan College, and while at NCWC I played for the women's soccer team. After unfortunate injuries I then transferred to Appalachian State where I graduated in 2012 with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. While at ASU I met my husband who is from Avery County and I never thought twice about moving from the mountains! We live on our little farm where we enjoy our time with our horses, dogs, and raising our family. I am a proud cheer/dance mom and on Saturdays in the fall you will hear us yelling GO VOLS!

I am currently attending grad school to obtain my licensure in Special Education and can't wait to see what the future holds for me and the students of Williams Academy. Please feel free to email me any questions or concerns you may have about your student. rforbes@williamsacademy.org
