I am Associate Chairperson, the Fairleigh Dickinson Jr., '41 Professor of Economics, and a Faculty Affiliate in History at Williams College, as well as the co-Editor of the European Review of Economic History and and a Research Associate with the Davis Center at Harvard. Mostly an economic historian, my research covers a number of development-related questions in late Imperial Russia. I teach a variety of different courses, from introductory economics, to economic history, to development, to the economics of innovation and sports. I am also Co-PI on the NSF-funded Cliometrics Conference grant for 2022-2024.
