Hi, my name is Colleen King. I created Math Playground in 2002 for students in my classes who needed a fun way to practice math facts. Since then, Math Playground has grown to include a wide variety of math topics, from problem solving and mathematical art to real world math and thinking games. When I'm not developing new activities for Math Playground, I enjoy sharing math strategies with other educators and have presented my work at the annual NCTM and ISTE conferences.
We create content and games for our website with these goals:1) To add sound and visual effects to make learning fun and more memorable.2) To design games with many difficulty levels so that players will continue to be challenged no matter how far they progress.3) To provide games that will exercise players' brains

The secret to TouchMath is simple. In fact, it can be summed up in one word: TouchPoints.Each numeral from 1 through 9 has TouchPoints corresponding to the digit's value.
- Numerals 1 through 5 have single TouchPoints
- Numerals 6 through 9 have double TouchPoints
- As students count the TouchPoints, they associate numerals with real values. They learn that a numeral (3, for instance) is not just a squiggle on a page. It represents a quantity such as three apples, three ladybugs, three buttons or three TouchPoints.
Math-U-See’s unique instructional approach makes it easier for instructors (parents, teachers, and tutors) to help students progress in mastering fundamental math skills and concepts.Math-U-See’s simple but powerful set of colorful manipulatives allows abstract math concepts to be represented in clear, relatable ways.
