Continuous Provision - Learning Through Play
We know that choosing is learning! We share, collaborate, explore and extend our ideas through play.
English & Phonics
We are starting to use our phonics knowledge to help us read and write about different stories! We ask lots of questions about stories we are reading, and we are learning to summarise and make predictions when we read new books.
We were inspired by our class book 'How to Find Gold' to go on our own treasure hunt!
We went to visit Manor Park Library to start our Winter Reading Challenge!
Maths
We have been practising making different numbers to 10. We can find the parts and the whole of different numbers. We are starting to count in 2s, 5s, and 10s. We enjoy playing maths games to help us explore numbers!
P.e. - Gymnastics with Amber
We have been practising different gymnastic shapes with Amber! We know how to use the gymnastics equipment safely, and are taking on new challenges on the vault station! We always find opportunities to collaborate and help each other during gymanstics sessions.

Music with Mr Davies
We have been finding the beat during our class music sessions!
Become a beat detective - clap the beat with Mr Davies' guitar!
Computing
We are starting to log on to the Google Classroom independently and are discovering the different things we can do on the Chromebooks. Our Computing Experts are here to help if you are stuck!
Reading Cafe
Thanks to all adults that joined us for our first Reading Cafe!
Science - Seasons
We have been learning about the changing seasons. We went on Autumn treasure hunts during the half term and brought our Autumnal treasure to school! We used our discoveries to make a big Autumn artwork, and felt inspired to write Autumn poetry.
We also used our knowledge of the different seasons to help design clothes for the Emperor from the Emperor's New Clothes!
Life Skills - Relationships
We regularly 'check in' with ourselves to recognise our different emotions.
We have been reflecting on what it means to be part of a family and to be a good friend. We have also talked about our favourite things, and explored if boys and girls have different interests.
What does it mean to be a good friend?
When do you feel these emotions?
Do boys and girls have different interests and emotions?
Geography - Geograpy Bee
We have been learning about the world's continents and oceans. We have used globes, maps, and atlases to help us learn!
We put our knowledge to the test by filling in blank maps.
Ms Akhtar came to test us - but even she was no match for our Geography knowledge!
We make sure to revisit our learning regularly to help us remember important facts!
R.E. - Belonging to Christianity
We have been learning about Christianity. Ms Fowler come to answer our questions, and speak about how her faith has affected her life. We also learned about the importance of baptisms for Christians.
We thought about what is special to us, and the communities we belong to. We used our reflections to help us make badges and Christmas decorations for our class Christmas tree.
We visited Emmanuel Church in Forest Gate to learn more about the story of Christmas.
