WCHS Student Spotlights

Daleney Sinyard

Daleney is a senior and was recently honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2019. She is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient and dual enrollment student at GMC. She’s been active in TSA, Tennis, Beta Club, and the Yearbook Committee at WCHS. Daleney plans to attend Georgia College & State University to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education and become a Kindergarten teacher.

Describe your senior year in three words.

Exciting. Challenging. SENIORITIS.

I will always remember… the people who never let me give up and stop working towards my dreams.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan on attending Georgia College and working to gain a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years? What are your goals?

In five years, I see myself working at a school in Middle Georgia as a kindergarten teacher.

Our school theme this year is "Anchored In Excellence", tell us what motivates you to put forth your greatest efforts?

My family and friends are definitely the biggest motivators in my life. Also, I want to reach every goal that I have set in front of me, so I work extremely hard to accomplish all of them.

Who or what was most helpful or influential to you in your high school career, both in school and outside of school?

I can not say that just one person or thing influenced me the most during my high school career. My mother, Mrs. Driggers, Mr. Rye, and Chris Maxey, my youth leader, definitely all played a role in turning me into the person I am in school and outside of school.

Arleni is a Junior and was recently honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2020. She is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient and a dual enrollment student. She’s a member of HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) and BETA Club at WCHS.

What’s life like outside of school?

I usually like to read and watch historical movies or documentaries and listening to music. I really like to go shopping and cook for my family. I also take interest from time to time in studying a language.

I like how I make my parents proud and I know that a good academic performance will be important and essential in the future. What we do now will reflect what we become.

The jobs you will have one day don’t even exist yet: what kinds of skills do you think you might need to succeed?

One needs to learn how to be diligent, have perseverance, and be hard working.

What's your greatest accomplishment to date?

I think that just the fact that I have been able to manage different things/activities all at once has been a great accomplishment, and starting dual enrollment classes has helped me expand my horizons.

Faith Chatman

Faith is a senior and was recently honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2019. She is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient and dual enrollment student at GMC. Faith played for the girls basketball team for one year, managed the football team for three years, and is a member of Beta Club and FBLA at WCHS. Faith plans to attend Georgia State University to pursue a degree in Computer Science and have a career as a Software Developer.

Bittersweet.Memorable.Vital.

“I will always remember…”

"I will always remember homecoming week during my freshmen and senior year of high school. Also, the volunteer work I was able to experience with Mrs. Sharon Underwood's second grade class."

Who or what was most helpful or influential to you in your high school career, both in school and outside of school?

My parents were the most helpful and influential people for me during my high school career!

What are your plans after graduation?

My plans after graduation are to attend Georgia State University to major in computer science to pursue a career as a software developer.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years? What are your goals?

In ten years, I plan to have graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelors and masters degree in computer science and computer information systems. I plan to be working for a company or myself and living my life to the best of my ability.

My family and the ability for me to one day be able to help someone else motivates me to put forth my greatest efforts everyday!

Hanna is a Freshman and was recently honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2021. She is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient. She’s a member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of American) and Beta Club at WCHS.

What’s life like outside of school?

I enjoy hanging with my friends & attending school activities.

Watching many of my family members succeed in life is what motivates me to put forth my greatest efforts

I’ve been making make all As since the start of my highschool career.


Cherica Riddle

Cherica is a senior and was honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2019. She is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient and dual enrollment student at GMC. Cherica is a member of FBLA and participates in our Work-Based Learning Program. Cherica plans to attend Georgia College and State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and one day start a career as a Nurse Practitioner.

What extracurricular activities did /do you participate in high school?

Unforgettable; Life-changing; Convivial

“I will always remember…”

I will always remember how fast my senior year brought me into adult reality. Being in 12th grade showed me how to transform into a young-adult in a matter of moments. With given an opportunity to work and enroll in early college, the insight was a reward that allowed me to prepare for the real world.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I will enroll in Georgia College & State University in August of 2019. Georgia College & State University will be the institution where I major in Nursing and receive my BSN Degree.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years? What are your goals?

In five years, I hope to be working at a local medical clinic in Warner Robins, Georgia. Over the next ten years, I plan to have completed a graduate program where I can receive my Nurse Practitioner License in Gerontology.

My family and I is what motivates me to put forth my greatest efforts. My own potential has motivated me to strive for anything. I have witnessed myself accomplish many goals, which serves as a motivation for me to strive towards anything in life.

Who or what was most helpful or influential to you in your high school career, both in school and outside of school?

My parents have been the most influential to me in my high school career. Without their support, it would have been impossible to be this successful as I am today. Their hard work and determination has been just as equal as mine and that has paved the way to my success for years.


Cailaari Williams

Cailaari is a senior and was honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2019. She is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient and dual enrollment student at GMC. Cailaari is a member of FBLA. Cailaari plans to attend Georgia College and State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and one day start a career as a Nurse Anesthetist.

The memories I’ve made throughout my school years, as well as the challenges I’ve overcame to come get where I am now.

I plan to attend Georgia College & State University, and major in Nursing.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years? What are your goals?

In five or ten years, I see myself successful and traveling the world while working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesit.

Howard "Tre" Davis III

Tre is a senior and was honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2019. He is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient and dual enrollment student at GMC. Howard is a member of FBLA, BETA Club, HOSA, and WCHS Student Ambassadors program. Howard plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biology and then attend medical school.

I will always remember my supportive and encouraging friends and teachers.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to attend a four year univeristy but I'm still unsure of where at this time.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years? What are your goals?

In five or ten years, I see myself graduating from college with a bachelors degree in Biology and entering medical school.

I know that doing your best now gets you closer to reaching your goals to be come successful in the future.

Raija Harris

Raija is a senior and was honored for ranking in the Top 10 of the Class of 2019. She is also a Principal’s Honor Roll recipient and dual enrollment student at CGTC. Raija is a member of FBLA, Varsity Cheerleader, and Work Based Learning. Raija plans to attend Kennesaw State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After obtaining her degree, she plans to work her way to a career as a Pediatrician.

I will always remember homecoming week my freshman and senior year as well as our trip to Rigby's my sophomore year.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I will attend Kennesaw State University the fall to major in nursing to pursue my career as a Pediatric Nurse.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years? What are your goals?

In 10 years, I plan to have graduated from Kennesaw with my Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Nursing. I also plan to have worked my way up to a Pediatrician.
