Web 2.0 Tools Implemented into the Lesson to Support Understanding:

• Engage: Students will record their prior knowledge and initial ideas about "day" and "year" on a class Padlet.
• Explore: Students will investigate concepts relating to the Earth's movement through the use of the Discovery Education Techbook. Students will also use the two Nearpods to explore more information about rotation, revolution, and the seasons based on the Earth's tilt.
• Explain: After creating their evidence-based explanation about the cause of the Earth's movement, students will record their claim, evidence and reasoning using Vocaroo. They will export their Vocaroo to a QR code which will be posted on our Google Classroom.
• Elaborate: Students will create a Flipgrid that explains their ideas about the Earth's movements and how it relates to Polaris, our North Star.
• Evaluate: Students will create a Google Slides presentation that explains and shows how the Earth moves and the effects that come from that movement.
