ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
This year will begin my 14th year at Wild Rose and 16th year in education, and 1st as Athletic Director. I graduated from Wild Rose High School several years ago. I pursued a Broadfield Social Studies Degree at UW-River Falls. In 2017 I received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University in Fond du Lac. I have been fortunate to coach many different sports and activities. I am currently the Assistant Cross Country, JV Girls Basketball, High Quiz Bowl, and Middle School Track & Field Coach.
In June of 2022 I completed my second marathon (26.2 miles) and set a PR in the process (3:40.45). I ran Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN again to be specific. I have a joy and passion for distance running. The feeling you get after a good run, or even a quality run, cannot be replaced. It is also a good opportunity to clear my head and organize my thoughts. If I'm not at school you can probably see me out running around town (I have my favorite routes). I have shared my favorite podcasts here. I also enjoy kayaking, traveling, and jigsaw puzzles (puzzle season is usually Dec-Feb).
Whenever the opportunity presents itself I try to travel and explore places I have never been before. My favorite place to visit in the US is Boise, Idaho. Through the biennial Social Studies Trip, which will hopefully be revived in the 2022-23 school year, I try to convey my passion for travel and desire to explore other parts of the country with the students. The world is an amazing place, get out there and see it!
RUN THE DAY!
