Spend time building relationships with the stones themselves. Share space with them. Meditate with them. Be in ritual with them. Let the animate force in them speak to the animate force within you.Â
How to Read with the Stones
Spend time learning what the symbols and stones mean to you.
When you cast/throw the stones, consider:
What stones are at the centre?
This could indicate where you should place your focus, or what lies at the centre of your query.
Are any stones touching others?
This could indicate that they are in relationship, related, or forces that are working together.
Are there any stones on top of others?
This could indicate blockage, barrier, or obstacle by the top stone. Alternatively, this could mean that they are very closely related.
Are there any stones without the symbol showing / upside down?
These could be read similar to reverse in tarot, or that the energy is not present or relevant in this reading.
Are any in a line or making a pattern / shape?
These patterns can indicate the relationship between particular stones in the reading, timing, layers of meaning. If you see a shape or pattern, interpret that as part of the reading
What stones are one outside, or furthest away from others?
These may indicate separation, further in the past or future, or that their energies are less present or more repressed.
