Our Mission Statement

Our mission at Wig Warriors is to empower patients to restore their confidence as they navigate through the cosmetic impact of cancer treatment's.

At Wig Warriors we provide a consultation and set up a plan of action to help the patients better deal with all stages of hair loss they will face during their treatment.

We provide Wigs scarves head wraps and head coverings Wig accessories make up services - eyebrows eye lashes.

We also offer ongoing Wig care and upkeep and help the patients when they are through with treatment and their hair is growing in.

All services all free of charge to patients while they are undergoing cancer treatments.

About Wig Warriors

Wig Warriors is a non-profit organization which assists cancer patients by empowering them to navigate the cosmetic side effects of their treatments. Hair is an integral part of a woman's life and for women undergoing chemotherapy, the loss of their hair can add another layer of emotional strain and impact self-image during an already traumatic time. The salon owner and stylists who give their time and energies to this project are dedicated to restoring confidence and strength to our Warrior Clients; believing "if you look good, you will feel good" as they continue their fight. We offer assistance and guidance through all stages of hair loss to help the client feel more "like herself, again."

The foundation is funded solely through individual contributions and is not affiliated with, nor a recipient of, resources from any other agency or foundation. We are a small local foundation with a limited budget and rely exclusively upon the contributions of caring friends & neighbors and those clients who are able to contribute. Because we rely totally upon contributions, monetary and wigs, if we do not currently have funding to assist the recovering patient, Salon Owner Michele Lawson donates the time and services herself.

It is essential that we devote our energies and resources to those who need financial assistance to obtain the services and products that are so necessary to their recovery and well-being. We can, if needed, assist in obtaining a quality wig either free, or at a greatly reduced cost. It is also essential to help everyone have a beautifully styled wig. We believe every woman experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy should have access to a wig in which she can feel beautiful throughout the recovery process.

If you feel you can afford your services, we ask that you make a donation today in that amount to the Wig Warriors.

Each person who contributes to our organization helps to pay for products and operating expenses for those patients who have limited funds. The funds we raise are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis and, sadly, more often than not, we have a waiting list. We also believe there is power in paying forward the gift of a wig once treatment is complete, health recovered and hair restored. Our wig donation model is rooted in these ideals. We aim to meet immediate needs while fostering a cycle of giving, receiving, hope and healing.
