Happy October Region V!

I hope that your first month or so of school is going well. As we head into October, here are a few updates:

Chapter Early Action Activities: The state office is starting a new program to kick the year off strong by making sure you have all your chapter items squared away. Every chapter, middle and high school, is requested to complete the items on the linked spreadsheet and will then be eligible for a drawing for $100 per region supported by the Wisconsin FBLA Foundation. Activities are due by October 16 to be eligible for the drawing. 

Update Officers in Connect: This year’s state officer team is excited to connect with your chapter’s student leaders all year long! To help us stay in touch, please update your local officer positions in FBLA Connect as soon as possible. **Note: Students must be paid members to be transitioned to officers in connect.** This ensures your leaders won’t miss any important updates from the state level. Not sure how to make those updates? Watch this quick how-to video.

State and National Dues: Just a reminder that State and National dues must be paid by December 11 for students to compete at the regional level. You can pay online through FBLA Connect with credit card, debit card, or ACH transfer.

Wisconsin Fall Leadership Conference: Registration is now open for the Wisconsin Fall Leadership Conference! You can access The conference will be held at Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells on November 9-10. Wisconsin FBLA members will have the opportunity to attend workshops and network with individuals from all over the state during this event. Registration for this conference will be $65. You can register using Blue Panda. Registration closes October 24.

Competitive Events: It is never too early to start thinking about those competitive events! New this year: Community Service Project and Local Chapter Annual Business Report will need to be submitted for review at the regional level! Here are a few resources that you can use to get started.

Regional Websites: Please use the Wisconsin FBLA website for your primary needs. If you have Region V specific questions, you can use the Wisconsin FBLA Region [Number] Leadership Conference website as a resource! This website will be updated throughout the year as more information about RLC becomes available.

Judge Sign-Up: Please share Judge Sign-up Google Form with anyone that would be willing to judge at our Regionals. It takes a village to run a regional conference and any help is greatly appreciated!

RLC 2028: Do you have a student who is passionate about FBLA and thinks they would serve well as our next Regional Vice President? Applications are due December 15, so now is the time to start working on them!

Please share the application with students that you think would enjoy the additional involvement.
