October 24 @ NorthEast LakeView College (6 PM -8 PM)
Reyes Castaned will be presenting: A tale of two napkins: BGP’s importance, history, and flaws
The internet as we know it today is held together by a glue called BGP. Sometimes that glue works really well, but when it doesn't... This presentation covers the importance to us all of BGP, its origins, and the flaws the network community is working to fix. Can you believe the most important protocol on the internet is largely built around trust?!
Jonathan Gonzalez - will be presenting on How Cyber Threat Intelligence is Changing the Cyber Field. ( Great talk for ALL levels of experience)
Volunteer Information
Additionally we are looking for volunteers for November meeting to speak. Presentations can be 20-30 min
"Hundreds of cyber threats emerge every day and there are too many to keep up with! Can you assist and provide us a Cyber Threat Briefing, this is to join the fight against Cyber Crime, Sub-net Terrorists and Network Evildoers! We have our agents at DCG-SATX anxiously awaiting your Intel!"
You will be assigned a country and it is up to you to use your OSINT skills (aka do research) and present a 5-10 min threat briefing on the potential threats or risks that country poses.
