The Cyber Handshake

The Cyber Handshake Event, organized by the WiCyS Sri Lanka Affiliate and held on the 20th of February 2026 at BMICH, Lavender Hall, marked a significant milestone in bringing together the cybersecurity community for an evening of collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional networking.

The event gathered cybersecurity professionals, industry leaders, academics and students, creating a unique platform to exchange ideas, discuss industry trends and strengthen connections within Sri Lanka’s growing cybersecurity ecosystem. Through insightful talks, engaging panel discussions and interactive sessions, participants explored career pathways, industry challenges and opportunities for growth in the cybersecurity field.

A highlight of the event was the vibrant engagement from the community, demonstrating the importance of collaboration and mentorship in advancing cybersecurity talent. The discussions encouraged knowledge sharing between experienced professionals and emerging talent, fostering a supportive environment for learning and inspiration.
